Default Possible domain change?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I was wondering if I could slightly change my domain around while leaving the rest of my forum like normal.

Right now, we have nwp.30.forumer.com
(nwp stands for nintendo wifi players)

And we would like to change it to nwc.30.forumer.com
(nintendo wifi community)

Now, I know that this is a somewhat small change, but I think it sounds much better.
Also, if it was possible to move all posts members and everything to the new domain, would the old domain redirect to the new one?

Thanks.

Strongbad007.

I think it's possible if you have 500+ members and 5000+ posts.

I've read a post for Limez saying that, not positive though.

Incorrect Dr. Fix, there is no way to change a forum's URL without starting over. That's referring to importing someone's IPB database from another host to Forumer.

@StrongBad007: Unless you want to start over, you'll have to stick with nwp.forumer.com. However, you could buy a domain for your forum through a site like DomainExplorer and using the fDomains feature attach it to your forum. Your Forumer URL would still be the same, but your members would be able to access your forum through something like YourDomainChoice.com.

Please do not PM me for support.

So, if I got a new domain, I could make it nwc.com or whatever, but when people typed it in it would redirect them to our normal forum?

Yes, or you could use frame forwarding. Frame forwarding works like this:

http://www.tacticalassistance.co.uk/

Forwards to

http://edwin.forumerbox.com/ta/

But the address bar still gives the domain.

You should not just take out individual posts from the context of the whole thread

It changes the whole meaning of the reply.

Aha ok. I saw IPB to IPB, I thought it would be possible to be done internally as long as it can be done from an external source.

There is always a link at the top of every "Individual Post" where he/she can click and see the whole thread with all its context.

I was trying to help him by pointing out the post in question.
