The FAP doesn't work...

I am locked out of my admin cp...because I overwrote my Admin status with a permissions mask...(I know...dumb)

I've logged into my FAP, as it is supposed to have a drop down members box where I can restore my admin status, but all I get, is this...

I am the registered owner, and I have my original confirmation email, but I just can't get into my admin. Basically, I am encountering exactly the same problem as these guys...

I think your problem is related to forumer only giving you Admin status not owner. They disabled the Admin from changing FAP settings.

Even so, it says i'm the Owner but there are no other options as you describe.

I thought that whats this thread was about....... to report the problem ........ the mods don't like PMs about every fault, this is the place to report or not?

May be they hacked FAP first then HTML after a time.

OK Duy this is not really helping..... if you are posting to increase your post count then you might as well stop...

That problem was here for quite a long time and it was on server 30 (this is actually the first I hear that some one on a different server server has the problem too....), and it was server 1 that got hacked.

Do you really think that some one would hack the FAP and not do any damage to any forums.......what would be the point?

They were dealing with this problem before and they might have stopped for a while as they need to resolve the security issue first,

I'm sure that some one will let us know soon what is happening.

Well I'm sorry........... but it does look to me like that sometimes when you reply to ancient already resolved threads........ or just to say "yeah do that..." repeating the advise that some one else already had given just the post above yours.....

I'm sorry if that's not your intention but you have to admit, it does look like that sometimes.

Register as the owner.
FAP is probably the safest thing to back up your forum.

Thats the point of this thread.... he registered as an owner and the Fap set itself up with a fault and lists him as admin and doesn't give the drop down box that should be there so he can make an admin.

btw...... FAP doesn't back up your forum...... all it does is to give you chance to make yourself (or anyone else) into admin if you are hacked or messed up your settings.
It is not a database of your forum ...
