Hello, i am wondering how i can gain a particular "Access name" (e.g. myname.forumer.com) which is not in use? The registrar setup will not let me choose my particular access name, as it has been chosen. The problem is that this particular name is not in use/no created board.

Any info on this? I will PM any mod or admin the name i would like. Thanks.

I checked the IPB registration and it's closed for maintenance.. the phpBB registration giving me the same error ("The access name is already taken."). I dont know if it is also affected by the on going maintenance under IPB.

Just hang on for whatever report that forumer Staff could give.

IPB registrations are disabled

It should be possible to register a phpBB forum.

the reason for that error might be that as the IPB is closed to registrations maybe the databases are not accessible so if the program can't check if the name is taken it's just giving out that message.

You might have to wait with registering a new forum for the maintenance to be over. Sorry.
