Default Linking to images
I know I cannot allow people to link to any copyrighted images (without permission) using IMG tags, but can they do it using URL tags? And do we need to have permission from the site where the images are? (Not counting Imageshack, etc.)

Thanks for any help!

You don't need that. If yes, the host server of those pics will do for you. I think you and other host servers can not set pemissions for that, they have many ways to copy the pic if they want.

Cash is not all. We still have golds, silvers, credit cards, bank notes, securities...

Thanks very much for your answer, duy, but I'm not quite sure I understand. Maybe I should be clearer myself. I know from this thread that I cannot allow copyrighted images to appear on my board:

But I was not quite clear if we could just link to copyrighted images with URL tags, so that people can click on the link and see them, instead of using IMG tags to have the images actually appear on the board. (If this point is already touched on in the thread I just linked to, I'm sorry. )

I don't think I can set permissions to make those links impossible, either, but I can delete them if necessary. Not that that I'd especially want to, but I don't want the board to get in trouble, especially if we have a bunch of pictures from the same TV series. I haven't done any work on the board yet--partly I've been procrastinating, and partly I was hoping to find this out first.

If you are just linking to a site with the image then that is fine.
