Default Ad removal options

I've just purchased 5 USD worth of fBuck$ to remove ads from my forum. Worked seamlessly, and I am very happy with the efficiency of the process. However, I'm looking at the viability of this in the future...
As my forum grows it will get more and more expensive for me. What if I have 500 members or even 100 who use say 60 clicks a day (not hard to do) I'll be out of fBuck$ in the first day. Yes, I know not everyone is going to post 50 in a day, but the possibility is there.
At this early stage in my forum's development, I'm thinking ahead and wondering if this is an economically viable thing. I'm not wanting to tell my members to 'be carefull about using the forum too much' etc. It's just not right. So, I'm wondering if there is any way I can pay say $10 odd a month and and get ad-free pages without 'burning' fBuck$ every time I click a link or refresh the page.
For me, this is a big thing and my decision to stay with forumer.com or otherwise hinges on it, as I am very happy with everything else they offer.

Any help is appreciated.

Thankyou,
R

Well you can make certain groups not see the ad's and other ones can see the ad's. Maybe have an elite member group, and those can only not see the ad's.
You can also make your own admin group not see the ad's so when you browse it doesn't waste your FBucks for your own browsing.

I think this is an issue for larger forums yes, thanks for bringing this up, I'll discuss this with the other staff.

Problem Child, that'd be a great solution except that feature does NOT work correctly (allow ad removal for certain groups).

Thread Here.

Thankyou. I'd appreciate this. I know there are other forum options that allow you to pay on a monthly basis. That would work REALLY well for me - being able to budget on a set amount on a time basis. At present it doesn't really encourage me to get new members as it will cost me! Not to worry, I would certainly appreciate your bringing this matter to attention.

Regards,
R

OK, I'm kind of at a crossroads with this thing. I am really holding my forum back from growing because I don't know if I'll be able to afford it. Can you give me any idea of whether the payment options will change to be time based instead of click based? Don't want to push, but I'll have to move to another forum provider that does this if you can't. I am very happy with everything else - this is my only point.

Thankyou kindly.

Why don't you just leave the ad's then? Are they really hurting anything?

Maybe put a donate button on your forum or something.

Rafal, this has NOT be fixed yet, correct?

I'll request an update... There may have been some wrong information given to the coders about this bug, that's why it was not correctly fixed. I'll look into this again, however.

Reuben, there is currently no other payment options other than fBucks. Currently the ad-removal is based on fBucks. The exchange rate for fBucks is 30,000 fBucks = 10 U.S. Dollars. Each page click (even refresh) uses up about 2 fBucks. The only downfall to this, like you said, is if you have a large forum, I can understand that as you will be spending more to keep ads off.

I will discuss better options regarding fBucks with management / administration very soon.

Thank you,

Forumer.com staff

Attitude, have you been able to raise this issue??? I understand you're probably really busy, but thought I'd check as I'm holding up the growth of my forum until I know whether we have time-based ad removal options available soon...

Thanks,
R

Exactly why I don't bother with ad-removal, far too expensive and not willing to pay every day............

I know, but Attitude was going to raise this issue as I do need ad removal, and I'm certainly willing to pay for it, but I would like to pay per month/week or whatever...in other words, time based ad removal, rather than click based... Make sense???

Sorry for being slightly off-topic. The ad-removal based on user group(s) issue appears to have been resolved and works correctly now Attitude.

A time-based payment option would be a great idea for the larger forums.

Do any of the forum leaders here know where the ad-removal options are up to? Really sorry to push this, but I'll have to go with another forum provider who offers time based ad removal if we can't find a resolution soon...Just that my forum is suffering because of this...Again, sorry to push this matter...

Hi Reuben,

Sorry for the late reply, as I am currently taking care of some serious personal / family matters and I haven't been around at all.

I haven't gotten the chance to contact management due to this issue, and I apologize. I will send out an e-mail right now a matter of fact.

Thank you for your understanding.
