Hi,

A member in my forum deleted a post that they wrote that has caused some kind of a problem. I am wondering if i can retrieve that post somehow to see what the member has written, and know what kind of action to take...i know this is probably impossible to do, but just wanted to ask if there's a way?

thanks for your help!

Hello,

Unfortunately, there's absolutely no possible way to revive deleted topics or posts as they are vanished from the database forever. I am sorry.

cosyinrocket, I think you should change the permission such that only the admin can delete posts.

Or he could set up a system that allows the members to delete post. But the only thing is that they go into a separate hidden forum where the admin(s) can view and delete if necessary.

That system works but can be confusing. For more information see here.

I actually using the Multi-Moderation for my Moderators and other staff that has a privilege to delete post or thread.

But for members dis-allowing post deletion.. you can simple edit Members Group and limit the privilege/permission of the members inside your board.
