Hello, all.

I'mhaving some trouble with the board and hope someone can help me.

This is the deal.

we have a board for our gaming clan.

I have split up the board in 2 parts, a public part and a private part.

Guests can view the public part, members can view the public and the private part.
But i don't want everybody that registers to view the private part of the board. I only want the members of my clan to be able to view the private part.

How can i change it.

we have 8 members in our clan, and , let's say, 2 people that just visted and registered that i hardly know, but who can view everything they want after registering....

Thanx for the info.

problem is that the private part is a category , not a forum, that consist of 4 forums.

I tried it with a password, but members must fill out that same password for all the 4 forum in the category private. I was looking for an option to have a password for the entire private category, but i can't find that

Best way is, you could make a new user group. with the same permissions as a member.

add them to the permissions list thing.

then just have their permissions on the forums
