Okay i dunno if this has been asked before. But alot of my forum members and even myself are wondering can i get a location feild onto my forum at all.

Ive signed up to the fmods forum but it never ever lets me into the download section of the site so i get updates for my forum.

Is there anyway of someone resloving this for me?

Just add it as a custom field via your ACP - Users and Groups - Custom Fields.
Choose the type of field as "text entry" and make it compulsary.

Blindman, I don't see that option in my IPB AdminCP. Are you using PHPBB?

I have added the location field to my topic view, but it's really just a hack using the AIM Field which we've no use for on my forum.

No I'm using IPB 1.3.1 Final but my options may differ slightly from yours.

Do a search for "gender mod" on fmods.com . Like I said above, I've added the location field to the Topic View on my board (http://fishn.ca click on a post in the buy & sell forum if you want to see it) and it is based on the gender mod which takes the AIM field and uses it for displaying gender.

FMODS seems to be broken. Great. Until its fixed there is very little we can do - sorry.

Is it down again as i cant seem to excess it at all.

I can log in but then when i click on mod database it kicks me out again.

This is very frustrating. I've searched for a couple of hours and cannot piece together an answer.

What is the best way to add in a "LOCATION" slot under each member's avatar when they post? Basically as you scroll through a thread under each user's name/avatar would be "Member No. , Location, Join Date" etc.

I've searched through the nightmare that is fMods with no luck either.

Anyone shed any light on this?
