I appologise if this has been covered before, but I can't find it if it has!!

A member on my board logs in, she gets the welcome "username" you are now logged in, her name appears in the users active in the past 15 mins bit at the bottom of the board, BUT... when she clicks on anything it comes up with guest at the top, and she can't post any thing!!

I went to her house at the weekend to try it with bother hers and my own username and password, and it happened to us both. There we both were, supposedly on the board and yet neither of us could post as it kept telling us we were guests! Does anyone know what the problem is??

Now I have to say she uses AOL and Windows XP... And you clever ones who know computers are all groaning!

My board is here

are you using a domain redirecting service to access the forum? if so turn URL CLOAKING OFF

otherwise, clear all history, cookies and restart the PC and try again

As yegnold2003 said, try to clear your cookies and history. To do this, visit this link: http://support.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=1498. Then restart your computer. If you still have the same problem please let us know. It may be a bug otherwise.

Erm no idea!!! One thick female here! My daughter set up the board, which was originally on a different board... I think she kept the same name when she moved it here. Is that what you mean by domain redirecting service?? And what is the URL cloaking? Where do I find it if that is what it is?

It is fine from my computer, just not my friends!

Sorry but the link above takes you to another link which doesn't tell you how to delete cookies!

I know how to delete cookies, history and everything else from my computer.... but then it isn't mine that's the problem!

I will suggest to the member to delete cookies and history on her computer, re-start it and see what happens.

I didn't say it was for your computer. It was meant for the users. We are looking into fixing the link.
