How can I make my forum private where guests can't view the forum unless I accept their request?

Go to your AdminCP and find your forum permissions. Make sure that the categories for "Guests" have no ticks in any box at all. That way any visitor can not view the forum unless they are registered. You can control the registration in another part of the AdminCP.
