Question System Time zone

No matter how I set the system time zone and my profile, the times are always off. I'm in the central time zone which is GMT -6 hrs. I set the system and my profile to that and my posts and local time on the board is 12 hours ahead of the actual time. What am I doing wrong. Tried experimenting and nothing seems to fix it. Thanks, Tom

Are you sure when you set the time, you choose GMT -6 and not GMT +6?

In the adminCP, do you write any number in the Server time adjustment? If you did, delete the number you write in there.

I just check your forum, and the time is off, just as you said.

I'm having the same trouble too. I'm set at GMT - 7, both in my profile and in the General Admin configuration, but all the times are 12 hours ahead.

Thanks for your reply. I can't find the server time ajustment you are speaking of. The only time adjustment I see is in the admin panel under General Admin/ Configuration it has system timezone. Is there another place to adjust this? Thanks for your patients and help, Tom

If the time is still off, you can adjust the server time (as mentioned above).

To do this, find System Settings in you admin CP and click on Date & Time Formats. From there, find "Server Time Adjustment (in minutes)" and you may add or subtract time there.

I must be blind -- sorry -- but I can't find System Settings in the admin control panel. Where is it?

Thanks--

No worries -- the times have miraculously been corrected without me doing anything!
