i banned a person on my forum, yet they still show up as online on the board. i have waited for the 15 mins, but it still says the person is online and browsing the board. its really making me nervouse because the reason this guy was banned was he wanted access to my acp and i wouldnt let him.

but now hes still online, im really nervouse because iv seen other hacked forums. i dont want mine to get hacked

edit : a quick question, does banning the person band the IP or band the just user account?

don't worry, now he is banned, when you see him online that means he is seeing the banned message

but, does it ban his IP or just this user account? if not then he might create another account and try something.

If you ban a user, it does not ban their IP. You have to do that manually in the ACP in Ban Settings.

ps: the guy is banned through IP and email.

Ban through IP address isn't too effective since he can use other computer to access your forum. But I see that you also ban his email address. That's a good move. And also please make the "Allow duplicate email when register?" option to "NO"
