I've had a sudden outbreak of spammers joining my site, about 10-20 in about a week, many of which had an "@cashette.com" in their email. Most seem to just be posting pointless products. I've had to resort to banning each one individually, but I'm wondering if knows how I can remove them before they join.

I know you can't stop spammers, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to remove these spamming business losers.

I had that same problem like you, the only way to stop those people/s from posting spams is to go to your ACP -> Security and Privacy -> find New registration email validation? and change it into User Email Validation and below it, on the Remove incomplete registration validations after... type in 1 day. As for the email domain @cashette.com, those spammers on my site are also from that domain. To ban that domain, go to ACP -> Users and Groups -> Ban Settings on the Banned Email Adresses, put *@cashette.com so users from that domain can't register on your forum. Well, that's what Mark and the others told me what to do, but I still hope those spammers won't validate their registration.

or simply set your forum so you have to approve each member that joins....but the e-mail filter is da best bet

What you've done (adding the email domain to the spam filter) is all you can do, other than turn on email validation. There is nothing for Forumer to do.

Please do not PM me for support.

I despise email verification, and I've always hated forums that do it. I've already banned the cashette domain, but they're coming in with popular domains like yahoo and such.

*sigh* I suppose I'll set up the email verification then .
