I don't think this problem has been posted yet, but don't shoot me if I'm wrong.
Here's the problem:
At the bottom of each page, there's a dropdown box that allows you to jump to another forum or part of the site. But it doesn't show me all forums.

My forum is: bma.forumer.com. We have categories, and forums, and subforums. The first 4 subforums are displayed, but the following forums not. Then the 2nd category is correctly displayed, and the 3rd and all of there forums.
Here's a screenshot of my forums (the last 3 are not displayed, but they are fine), taken from the Admin CP:
and here is part of the forum jump:
You see that after "Pipe Bands", it goes immediately to "Andere BMA fora".

Can somebody verify if this is a bug, and if it's not, how can I solve this problem? This does not only affect the navigation, but also the "Move Topic"-part of the Mod CP. So, I cannot move a topic to one of the forums that are not shown in the dropdown box. This is quite annoying.

Thanks in advance,

Greetz,
Dimitri

Have you checked the viewing permissions for those forums, make sure that the are set correctly.

All my settings are correct. (I don't think there is a setting to display/not display a forum in the FORUM JUMP DROP-DOWN BOX.)
Could you please verify that this is a bug or not?

If you go to here: http://bma.1.forumer.com/index.php?act=SC&c=2
You see that category "Algemeen Forum" is divided into 3 forums. ("Vlamo", "Instrumenten Secties" and "Drum & Bugle Corps")
The last 2 forums ("Instrumenten Secties" and "Drum & Bugle Corps") and their subforums do not show up in the forum jump drop-down box. Try it here for example: http://bma.1.forumer.com/index.php?showforum=22 You will see that you can choose "Vlamo" but not the other too (look at the 2nd picture in my first post.)
Can you please have another look at this?

Dimitri

You are absolutely sure that the admin permission masks for the specified forums are set to allow admins to read the forums? Can you, as an admin, navigate to the specified forums without use of the jump box?

1. Yes.
2. Yes, I can and all other members can. When I log out and view my forum as a guest, the same problem happens. This is not a big problem for navigation (I don't think anybody on my forum ever uses that jump box), but it is a very big problem for the moderators and admins! As I said, they cannot select those forums to move a topic there (and sometimes this is necessary, that's how I noticed it in the first place).

Hello there,

I did some testing over on this forum to see if the jump box would only allow a certain number of forums/sub-forums to be in it but it appeared that it will take more then you have so it's not that you have too many forums. And like you said that you set the permissions to be able to view them via permission mask settings.

But there is one thing I would like you to try before we go any further, I want you to sign up on your board as a member and tell me if it's still happening. If it is still happening I think I will know the answer to your problem.

Thanks,
Nikki

Can one of the support staff have a look at my forum?

ok i'm on your board looking as a test member: you need to check that catagorie's main settings(admin/cp/manage forums/pick the catagory you want to edit and edit that catagory settings as such/be sure it is visable/check all permissions for that catagory/be sure to go to general configuration afterward and save your configuration.)...it looks to me like you have that main catagory setting as not showing...you need to make it visable ...and be sure your catagory orders are set correctly as well and all forum orders are set correctly too...that is the only thing i can think of that it could possible be at all....you can also try resetting your skin if all else fails...but that looks like the Oni Skin so it should be ok....

This didn't work either, but thanks anyway Pappy.

But I've created a few new forums and they seem to show up, so this is my plan:
I'll make a whole new category and I'll move the existing forums to that category and I'll see if it works.

Edit: this did not work. Change of plan: I'll make new forums and subforums. Then I will delete the old forums and move all topics & posts to the new forums.
I'll let you know if it works.

Dimitri

Hello,

you can try that, it might work and/or it might not. It could just be your browser settings, might want to check that out two. Best of luck to you I hope you solve it.
