Thumbs up

Hi,

This is a great service you give, thanks, two weeks up and running and the quality of service has been great so far.

One thing I have never gotten to work is the email system.

Since the first day, I noticed that after registering, users never gets their validation email. I ended changing the whole system to Admin Validation, with in the ends, was a very good movement, because now I can control when a newbie will be granted full access. Then, I just forgot about it.

But, I started noticing that, even asking to be email notified when a thread had a new post, I never got one. I checked with my moderators, and it is the same all over the board. I checked every single configuration option on the Admin CP, but I can't find anything that deals with this.

Is this something I need to enable somewhere but didn't find it yet, is this a bug, is this something the forumer admins needs to enable for me, or, why this is happening?

My site is at http://codez4palm.forumer.com

Thanks for your support.

Have you checked your e-mail spam filters etc.

I think there may be a problem with the e-mail system as well that means that these e-mails are not being sent. please be patient.

Hope this helps

For the questions, no, I don't have any softwares to delete SPAMS. I basicaly use a email notification applet and I delete what I consider SPAM myself.

I have done a test today. I have subscripted to one topic where I do not have any posts from me, and one I know that will generate lots of replies. I have done this several hours ago (4-5). I can see on My Controls / Subscriptions / View Topics that I am subscripted to it. I have checked several times using View New Posts that several new posts have been added to this topic and I still do not have recieved any notifications.

My email is correct and I have even received emails sent from members of the board to me using the board to send it.

Hope this helps you understand what may be happening.

Thanks again.

Found on Bug Reports that this is been worked on and is happening in a lot of boards. As the first post is quite old (almost one month), just wanna know if this is going to be enabled for the faulty boards or it's going to stay the way it is right now.

Thanks.

ps. If you can answer this, I will apreciate. Afterward, close the case as I will keep an eye on the one in the Bug Reports, it doesn't make sence to have lots of cases open on the same issue.

Hello there,

like Mr Alex said this is more then likely a bug within the forumer software. There is not much you can fix really.. You just have to wait for a Forumer administrator to fix this problem for you, should be fixed soon enough.
