Hey guys,
i finally got to the members rank/group management part of my board after all that category and board making, customizing, and TRYING to figure out how to get my banner up (that plus all the sigs i made and my banner) converted into .jpegs or some other easy file type. NOW i need to know this;

Can i make a member group and/or rank that cannot be decided by post count? Like admin can only promote you to it?? i need to know this DESPERATELY bcuz, my board really needs this as it consists of Designers and Gamers, and a few others... SO HELP ME PLZ!!

!*!*!SUGGESTION / IDEA!*!*!
MAYBE, someone could make a mod for ranks for each type of board. Example: for a designer board it could be like: designer, Expert Designer ect. what i mean is, rank types for each individual board. maybe this isnt possible but HEH ITS A GOOD IDEA!! anyway its just a thought, and i thought of it so give me credit LOL...

ya, there is a way. If you mean just writing something like "admin" under a person's aviator. But you cant change a persons "pips"(lil boxes) idont think.

But if you just want to change what it says under their aviator go to your admin CP and on the left hand side find Find/Edit/Suspend User, next type in their name in the topmost box and hit "find user", once the next screen loads find the persons name and click on Edit Details next to it. After the page loads, in the fourth blank down type what you want it to say under the aviator, then scroll down and click update or whatever it says at the bottom.

Hope that helps.

What about just making a New User Group, and at the bottom of the page, making it so it doesnt promote upon posts.

Admin CP > User Groups > Base new Group On - Say Members > then fill out the form - Ie: name of Group so in your case Designers, Gamers etc, then fill go through and fill out the rest of the form. At the bottom you will see....

Quote:
Choose 'Don't Promote' to disable promotions
and on the drop box, Click on the "Dont Promote" and then add your group. Then as deadaim said, just go to Find/edit/suspend on your ADmin Cp, and simply follow his directions and change the members manually.

Thats about all I can think of. Hope that helps too.
