When I go to IMAGES ONLY, under Skins and Templates, I find that you can change the image of many different things. I want to know if I can change the symbol for the User Rank. As of now I have the little Blue Box as my symbol. Is there any way to get a new symbol? Such as an X or something else?

Thanx in advance.

Yep, there is a way to do this. Go into Images Only, and find "Rating image".

If you need any more assistance, please let us know.

Well, do you have the new image you want to use? If so, it needs uploaded to the web. I recommend using a free image host such as Photobucket.

Once you have the new image uploaded to the web, you need to do what I've demonstrated below.
Quote:
<img src='URL TO YOUR IMAGE GOES HERE' />
You need to replace the red text with the URL to the image you want to use.

I hope this helps. If you need any more assistance, please let us know.

Cant you just upload the pics onto the forum using the Upload Feature? Then all he has to do is right click on the uploaded Pic that will appear on the post > Go to Properties and copy the link that appears?

But if he just wants to use the X, as in the Character X on your Keyboard, then just Type in X and replace all the code, in that box with just the X, and if you ever need that code back, then just copy and paste one of the other img codes and replace the link.

Hope that helps too.

I suppose that would work. It would probably have to be uploaded as an emoticon though. Because where else would you upload it?

Depending if he has set each members permissions, but if he is the admin, then he can just "New Topic" and just write "Pic" in the Post, and as there should be a Upload Function at the bottom, just above the Post Thread button, where he can browse his Computer for Pictures, once he found one, he can just upload it that way.

True, true, that would work too. I was just saying the most "practical" that I think the most people use. I have every image for my forum hosted on Photobucket.

That my friend, is what mozilla and tabs in the browser are for.
But on topic you can use a few differend ways.
1) Photobucket. Its good for everything under 250K, cause then it resizes and looks like crap.
2) You can upload it into a thread, and then it should work...I think. On other forums that have an upload feature they don't allow image linking from the site. Being that its not going off of the site it might work then.
3) If the image is small enough, you can upload it in the emoticons section, and make it unclickable. Then just get the url and that works.
4) If the image is smaller than 100x100, you can creat a user and just upload the pic as an avatar.
5) *NOTE: I avoid this at all costs* Use geocities or angelfire and upload the pic as a .txt file. (at least I think thats how it works)

Yep, it works. I use it on my forum here.

Number 3 is kinda like Number 2, just using a different Upload method.
Number 4, would take too long.
And Number 5, I agree, I wouldnt use it.
