Question RSS feed

I am trying to place an rss feed into forum, but even with dohtml, all it does is print what i have placed between the tags. Is there any way of doing this?

I am using rssfeedhelp to give me the script to get the feed, it is in java, can this be placed in a post?

No you cant use rss javascript in posts even with dohtml, i have no idea why, but you can put your feed in a forums description panel without dohtml.
seeing as you would want to see an rss feed daily its probably a better option.
why not make a new forum in your lowest category (to the bottom) and put your feed inside that, then you could use the forum itself to discuss topics from the feed

Thanks Inny, i did that, but it makes the page rather long, and then i cannot get it to display in my ipdynamic, which is the page i really want it on.

allcarp, the reason that you cannot execute javascript with the Dohtml tag is probably because IPB has this as a security feature. You could make bad things happen with javascript.

You should feel free to post it in the "Member Modifications Database" if you would like

Please check using the search function at Fmods if it hasn't already been submitted.

After changing my skin, i realised that there was a small problem, in the fact that not all skins are the same, so i have updated my post at fmods to explain exactly how i did my news feeds in the first place, it requires a bit of work, but is worth it when complete
