I have a favicon, but I don't know how to upload it onto my site =S

How do i upload the image, and then how do I edit the HTML in the <head> tags so it will show up?

You need to use an external host, for example photobucket.
I guess you have a javascript for it? I am sorry to say you do not have access to the <head> tag.

I tried photobucket, but they don't host .ico extensions ='(

I'll host it on my old tripod website, but I don't know JavaSCript, so there's still the question of how I put it into the site =S

I hope your icon is 16x16 and only max 16 colours.

Normally i'd use a pretty crappy html tag that most browsers support:

<link REL="shortcut icon" HREF="http://addresstoicon.ico">

Dont change REL="shortcut icon", it is the identifier for the browser.
But now, this should be put in the <Head> section.

And therefore _probably_ wont work on forumer.
(cross your fingers, it mite just work if you put in in the global elements index page)
(actually, it needs to be on the page most people _probably_ will bookmark)

There is a way to do this with javascript, but I cannot remember which functions i need to call to make it work.
