Default Closing registrations

What a page sees the user when I close registrations to my forum? Someone said s/he would see this (link removed) weird! I want that person just seeing a page like "The Administrator has closed registrations to this forum" or so that they do not think that forum does not exist....I will open regs in 3 weeks again otherwise my forum will exlpode thise days at Olympics!

2. Question: Perfect timing of your server upgrade grrrr NOW where the OLYMPICS coming up!! Ahh! How long would the forum be down maximal? I heard from other servers to be down for days that would be a really cruel since the next days our forum is very important for us!

Mod Note: I dont think you knew it was, but please dont link to competitors

If you look under System Setting -> Borad on/off you will find what your looking for. In here you get the option of setting a meesage for your users. Just put something to the effect of the board will be closed for 3 weeks and will re-open on <insert date> and Also the important thing turning your board off.

Hope this help

I didn't understand this. My board is not off, all registered members should be able to see it and post on it, just for non registered members it should be not visible and they shouldn't be able to register and to set a message would be great but I'm not sure if that is the right thing...

Go to the Control Panel
Security and Privacy>Disable new registrations? in the middle page almost, and set that to yes

As for server's downtime.
It is expected at most 1 day, as mentioned by admin in the thread : New batch of server upgrades within February

I believe this is not possible.

The only message they get is:
"The board administrator is no longer accepting any new registrations at the moment."

You may go to http://fmods.com and see if they have a mod there.
I am sorry
