How do you assign a certain ranking to a members group or a certain member? I know that we can create different ranking groups under User Title/Ranks, but how do I assign that to the forum permission masks. For example, how would you set it so that admins have 5 pips, mods have 3, etc...? A prompt reply would be appreciated. Thank you.

Don't ever argue with an idiot, because they first drag you down to their level, & then beat you with experience.

tedious work ...

where do you even go to edit pips individually for members? besides editing post counts, I can't seem to find it. =/

tats not what I meant pappy, for some users, I just want to add pips, without having them post so many posts, etc ...

going to admin-cp/user rankings/edit just makes more choices of pips without actually assigning it to a certain group unless they make the posts I set.

I wonder if anyone actually understands my question. <_<

do you want to give them individual pips - differnet images (which i don't think you can do) or make them have more pips (which has to be done be editing post counts) ?

If you want to raise the pips, You must put their post up high so if your highest pip is 8 and people need about 300 posts give that user 300 posts and he/she will have 8 pips.

Thats what i would do !

no other way to just assign a certain amount of pips to a user? without raising post counts? err, i see ... maybe if I study the html a bit more, I might find a way. meanwhile, if anyone finds it, post away. ty.

You must first make a new user group, then assign the person(s) to this group. Then, in the rank images section, put the url to the image you want to use as the special rank image, then assign this to the new user group, then put posts required to -1.

HTH!
