How do I change or edit my header/banner? I am very new to all this and don't know how to edit/change graphics. Could someone please help a gal out? thanks in advance

To change your banner, first have one to change it to. you can make your own or have someone design you one.

step 2 is to host it somewhere e.g www.photobucket.com/
this gives you an image url e.g 'http://***.photobucket/com/albums/***/you/pic name etc

now you go to your admin control panel ACP > (on left)Skins & templets > Html templets> manage html > Global Html elements >board header logo etc

now look for code that looks like this.......



<div id='logostrip' align="center"> <a href='http://proudmommas.4.forumer.com/index.php?' title='Board Home'> <img
src="http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/Instar/new24better.gif" border="0" > </a>
</center>

You replace the part in red, with your new banners url then click 'update template' below. Thats It

Well the skin I chose has a banner on it already. I am using the cool yule one and there is a banner at top that says Hava a cool yule from forum name...I just want to insert my forums name into that one, but don't know how.

JenniB i can do that for you if you tell me

1 your forums name
2. what color text
3. if you want the cool yule message left &just replace 'forum name'

then i can post the new banner url here for you, just follow instructions above.

iam having similar problems

.....Ive edited my html code in the template but the image iam using for the site banner doesnt display....

Oh its ok....Sorted.

Id forgot to put in the " at the end of the image address.
