| Member | How can I turn forum archives off? I don't want unauthorized pearsons to be able to view my forum. As it is, anyone can view most of the forum by typing a/ behind forumer.com, like myforum.4.forumers.com/a/ . |

| Banned User | So this is a LOW-FI [or whatever] version of forumer??? http://forum.forumer.com/archives/ |

| VIP Team ![]() | In a way, it is. vBulletin uses that feature for older forums to archive the topics. It isn't used as Low Fidelity. For example, here is the Lo-Fi version of Fmods.com: http://fmods.com/lofiversion/index.php |

Well then. Can't you make it so that the normal premission masks apply to that lo-Fi forum? If that's not possible then there should be an option for forum admins to turn that archive off.

| Member ![]() | I want some sections of my site off limits to guests (including the member list and profile data). Currently, I can't figure out how to do this. It seems like no matter what I do, the entire contents of my forums are available to guests by adding "/a/" to the end of my board's url. What is the point of allowing the administrator to prevent guests from viewing the member list, if all the guest has to do is add "/a/" to the end of the url to obtain full access? I'll bet there are some administrators who think they have restricted areas of there ipb sites. It seems to me that they actually don't. |

visit: http://elmazagangi3.4.forumer.com/ Try to view the member list. You'll get the message: "Sorry, but you do not have permission ..." The administrator has changed the settings so that guests cannot view the member list. Now visit: http://elmazagangi3.4.forumer.com/a/ Scroll down to the very bottom, and click on "Forum Members." You'll find an alphabetical list of all the members and be able to view their profile info.
