| Junior Forumer ![]() | i checked the documentation, but the link to explain is offline. if i want to make a "user" moderate, lets say just 3 forums, how would i do this? and if i wanted to make a "user" global mod, will he be able to ban accounts? if not, i would therefore have to let him access the admincp to ban accounts then right?? and if i did that, could he demote me? just explain how to do it please. thanks |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | To add moderators to specific forums just go into the ACP and click on Moderators Then select the forums you want them to moderate, type in or search for their username and add them as a mod. ![]() If you make a user a global mod they have full moderator permissions, which I believe includes banning. You should never make someone Admin unless you trust them with your life either. Hope that helps! ![]() |

| Junior Forumer ![]() | ok.... you helped me with the modding. but what about a global mod? do i have to make a rank named "Global Moderator"? or make a group named that? then how do i make him able to post, edit, close topics..ect. and banned people? there is nothing on the ACP that says anything about a global mod? so please try to explain it more clearly? [*]And another thing, if i were to make a group able to access the admincp, i kno they can **** my forums and everything, but can they demote me? (the ROOT admin?) | Senior Forumer ![]() | A global moderator doesn't need to be in a specific group or anything. They already have the ability to edit posts, close topics, move them, etc, etc. They can do pretty much everything you can do in the Moderator Control Panel. ![]() |

| Junior Forumer ![]() | can they ban...? and another thing, im trying to make admin usernames a certain color. i read the thing in documentation, but all that happens is my name says "HTML" above my name with a big white box, then my name, then "HTML" bleow my name.... wtf?! this is what i am c&p into the online prefix: </div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>HTML </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><span style='color: blue; filter:glow(color=black, strength=2); height: 1px;'></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> and this is what i am putting in the suffix: </div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>HTML </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'></span></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> but the only thing it does is say "HTML" with a big white box before my name, then says "HTML" without a box after my name. i see this where "members online" list is at bottom. |
