No idea why somebody would want to switch AWAY from IPB and change to Phpbb

Yeah! But if forumer also provides vBulletin like IPB and phpBB. It would be very much kooler. Though I don't think so they're going to.

You're correct in thinking they won't offer vBulletin as vbulletin costs money to own.
