I am a long-time forum administrator, and was in charge of a forum for youth in a community. Some idiot logged on and posted porn, so I cleaned that up hopefully before any of the kids saw it, and put the forum on lockdown. My superior says it may be a good idea just to delete the forum. Anyone know how I can do this?

It makes me very upset that people out there are so boneheaded that they will post pornography on a message board for children. People like that need to get lives, or better yet be hit by large meteors. If I could find the guy who did it I'd like to hit him in the shin with a very large baseball bat. Grrr...

Anyone here understand my frustration?

If it was just one incidence, it's not worth shutting the entire forum down. Just ban the person and delete the content.

If you really do want to delete it however (it isn't necassary though!), just turn it off (Admin CP -> Board On/Off) and don't login for 30 days or so and it should be deleted automatically. There is no way to manually delete it.
