Unhappy A member is having trouble on my board :(

Hey everyone! I hope someone can indeed help me out with this problem. One of my members came online to my board today and left me this PM:

For some reason my screen is really screwed up I can open posts but the whole screen is shifted and I can't get the screen to go far enough to the right to read the post or to hit the post/respond keys. Everybody's avatar and post count info takes up about 3/4 of my screen left to right and then I get a tiny part of the post I can read. The main page is ok and also I can read if I click on someone's name and read what they have posted but it is all screwed up on the idividual pages and the actual posts themselves. I hope you find this pm soon because I can't figure out how to change this on my own but I will keep trying.

Is this some sort of error on the Admin CP that I can fix for her??? My page looks fine, and I haven't gotten anyother PM's or emails about anyone else having problems.

Is there anything that I can tell her??? Thanks in advance, sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot. I just don't know what to do

Janet

that is odd. i looked at your main page, couldn't look at anything else without registering, and it looked fine to me.

i would post a message on the board asking if anyone else is having this problem. i wouldn't go screwing with your templates to fix one members problem when it may be happening on their end anyway.

Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures!

Thank you for your help. I did make the board viewable to guests now if you could please take a look. I also made a post on the board to see if anyone else was having problems and one member emailed me and told that she can't even see the buttons to reply to anything, and the colors are goofy...like no banner is showing for her, and where the board is orange..it's grey to her ??? I"m so confused! I just want it to work right! Do you think it could be on their end? Everything looks fine to me, so I have no idea where to even start! Thanks in advance, sorry I had the guests blocked you can get in now.

I have seen this many times, the problem is that whoever created ur skin was not using internet explorer, this is an internet explorer error to fix it go into your style sheets in ur admin cp and replace this:
Code:
html { overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: auto; }
with this
Code:
html { overflow-x: auto; }
I believe this should fix the problem...
best regards,

Ok, so I replaced that, and it's still not working right for quite a few members. Would it help if I changed the skin?? Some can't even get the forum to load. This is so frustrating, I want to help them, but everything is still running just fine for me. They have clearedt he cache and cookies and still doesn't work. ....gonna be a lonnnng night *sigh* any other suggestions?

it appears that it is not a style sheet error, I used your style sheet on one of my test forums and it appears to work fine in ie and firefox, can you give me more detail on their errors?

Thank you for your quick response! Here is what I have found out from a few members:

The fornt page is loading properly and timely, then when they click on a forum its not loading properly. The colros are mostly grey with some orange, its taking an eternity for the page to load, like itll say 10 items remaining forever. Down at the bottom, the pictures or icon aren't showing at all.

They can't get the reply button to work, can't even see it. I had them all put the manual fast reply on always. so, they can reply that way. Once they get into a post, they have scroll all the way over to actually read it.

It seems that the main page is fine for most, but when the go into a forum it's really distorted.

Thank you so much for trying to help me!! I really appreciate everything!!!

Edit Guests in usergroups, make sure we can see the board! We get a permissions error.

Admin CP--> Manage User Groups--> Guests--> Edit Group--> Global Permissions--> Can view board?--> YES

Yeah, IPB can be annoying at times..
