Forumer.com account != free forum account?

Hi all. I wanted to create a new forum, so i clicked on the first sign-up link i came across. I noticed that there was some new "profile" thing going on with forumer.com, but i ignored it thinking it's just a new feature.

Anyways.. after i complete my registration all I see is some myspace.com or friendster.com looking page, where i could update details of myself and, at best, post a journal (blog).

Okayyyy.. so where's my forum? I can't find any link anywhere after signing in, that would lead to me creating a new forum. Why?

It would only be logical that Forumer.com accounts, be for forumer.com's no.1 service = free forums.

Now I wanna create an account for a free forum but I can't since my username has already been used.

I thought I could close my Forumer.com account and use that username to open a free forum.... but there's no close/delete account feature anywhere to be found. now i'm stuck with something i don't need, which is holding up my access to something i want.

Pls help guys! Any advice would be much appreciated.

You'll have to click the link to sign up for a forum, not an extended profile. I know this may be confusing when you first see the main page.

Follow http://6.forumer.com/new_forum.php for a phpBB forum, and
http://4.forumer.com/new_forum.php for an IPB forum.

Thanks for the reply Jacko. Here's my other problem:

I wanna sign up for a forum, but they won't let me use my username cos I used that to sign up for an extended profile.

Anyway I can cancel my extended profile account?

UPDATE: Username is taken for phpBB forum, but I could use my username for the Invision forum. I'm looking for phpBB tho. Invision seems a lil slow.
