My question is 2-fold I guess:

Can IPB boards be backed up by the admin of the board and

if not, are there plans to allow this in the future?

Apologies if this has been addressed already, my search did not pull anything up on the subject and I am new here.

hi,
forumer.com will never allow database to be released either by the board admin or the administrator of all the boards(limez) for security reasons. forumer recognized this and so do other computer professionals.

Not sure I understand, what security reasons? I am scouting new options as a result of the Ezboard fiasco and want to be able to backup my own board, wherever I end up going.

Forumer does not offer back ups. You will not be able to take your database to another forum. Don't worry though, your forum here on forumer is automatically backed up, so incase someone hacks the server it will be fine.
