Registration is disabled in my forum..WHY?

Why my forum registration is disabled? What is wrong? I cheked my CP but everything's ok? Try to register and see what Im talking about.

Double check your admin CP

go to Admin CP > System Settings > Security & Privacy and check that 'Disable new registrations?' is set to no.

By the way, If the people cant register, keep it on "Guests can reply" for a while untill the problem gets fixed.
Just a opinion so that people won't have to wait to register to post

I created that just to check if its working... I Pre-Registered

The problem is the Register button, Tried by testing it..and Im getting that msg.


Im missing ppl who are registering but not coming thru. Is this a BUG?

Its not possible because, we are experiencing some problems lately. I banned 3 members and they are trying to HACK my forum. SO far everythings under control. My ONLY problem is the Registration. Thank You

When I click the 'Register' link at the top of your board, I get to the registration page without error. Is this error somewhere else?

Isolice, it does show the register page, but, I tried to register and when you click "Submit" it says
The error returned was:
Sorry, you are not permitted to use this board

Ok I would advise for the time being that you preregister all members. Allow the Guess to post in your Aministration?management or whatever you have it named and let them give you the details welll all except their password.

when you're done registering and hit the SUBMIT..

I don't think I will let the guests to post? We have a banned members and I don't want them to come back.

Well I was able to register without a problem!

Could it be that your email bans (I assume you've made some because of hacking problems) are too wide and stopping members from registering?

Exactly,
If you ban say B.T e-mails then none, I repeat no one on B.T can register. maybe this is whats happened.

Just ban IP with a wild card like so..
12.34.*.*.
That covers anyone on 12.34.

or create a unauthorised http access on the server (403) I think it is but not certain due to so many error pages you can set up for a banned isp.

Or even username

I was able to register without a problem.

As previously mentioned, you've probably mis-used the wildcards in banning someone's IP and banned yourself and a large group of users. Try removing any ban settings.
