My forum with forumhoster.com has been down all day so far, what's up?
I know about the hardware move but there has been an excessive downtime for the work entailed.

Are we forumhoster clients going to get an email interface for support?

Yes, I noted that and I can understand that but, I work in IT and have done so for the past 16 years and a server relocation should not cause this amount of downtime.
In addition, since we had no directives from you to the effect that we could use this forum for support until today (after the downtime started) we had no warning that this would take place and could not inform members in advance.
With the past history of forumhoster being hacked, an outage like this, with no advance warning could destroy a forum.
I feel that since the take over we have been treated like second class citizens.

dude...no offence but dont you think you should atleast give them a chance to get things in order before you start to complain? I'm in the same boat as you but I understand that Forumer has a fair amount of work to do to get things set up so that everything runs smoothly. A couple days downtime is'nt the end of the world. Atleast it is'nt for me.

Sorry guys, but moving sites like ForumHoster is not an easy or quick thing. For one thing, vast file sizes are getting transferrred (over 60GIGs).

The server maintenance was supposed to last TWO days starting on Wednesday.... we are FRIDAY so more than 2 days now.... and my forum is still down!!! ... what's up?.... is the maintenance over now?..... what is the trouble?

thank you for letting us know!..... our members are dieing to come back on our forum. Plus, we have important database on there that we need to access AND important event coming this weekend !..

well actually it is working now ... the thing is my forum is on our own domain name so we use a redirection from forumhoster ... and this is NOT WORKING anymore .... i just check the url of our forum using the forumhoster url ... the forum is there ... so yes forumhoster is up!.... my mistake!... sorry

BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.... i'd like to know why the redirection is not working anymore???
and i can't log in my forum because of that redirection trouble!.... so please someone help me!

mine is strange i can sign in and some members can sign in while other members are just gettin "page cannot be displayed" sign ??

im not sure but i think its just ppl in america that are having trouble gettin the page to display.

i am from singapore. i have flushed the DNS... n have restarted the PC...but still cant..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My other friends can go in.....but not me...

try deleting ur cookies and cleaning windows history we are still havin minor probs
sometimes it says too many connections
