Default Major DNS Problem

Ok. Since Wednesday/Thursday, my forum has not been working.

I have sent 3 messages via different routes to the so-called support, who have not answered, and I am getting irritated.

I host my forum at forumhoster, it is a Premium Account, and I also registered a dot-com address through forumhoster.

Assuming that the address would always work, I changed my settings so that all pages loaded with the dot-com address (if you use IPB you will know what I mean) - you can do that under General Settings or something. This means that I can't access the ACP to change this either.

However, the domain name won't work, and therefore I can't get past the front page of my forums.

Forum Addresses:

http://triwebs.forumhoster.com

http://www.triwebs.com

I have not been impressed, and if this problem isn't sorted out almost immediately, I am considering leaving Forumhoster. It's happened before, but at least I got some service that time.

Thanks.

Update: It seems like the forum itself is also offline. I'd appreciate it if the DNS problem can be fixed in time for the forumhoster servers coming back online.

Update 2: BTW, about the two URLs above, triwebs.forumhoster.com is the standard one (obviously) and Triwebs.com is the one which isn't working (and thus my forum doesn't work, as it automatically redirects to triwebs.com).

I have no access to 'triwebs.com' domain management. I have contacted the very first person who ran this site...to see if he can send me user/pass to be able to update your domain's DNS servers.

I will update your DNS to our nameservers, as soon as I can get my hands on your domain.

Thanks. I understand this is difficult for you, but I would have appreciated a quicker response when I used the Premium support function.

I'd appreciate it if you could sort this out as soon as possible, and if you could email me the DNS details for future reference.

Ok, I was able to get "my hands" on your domain. I have made some DNS modifications so within the next 24 hours, your domain will start resolving to our server.

Important: your domain will get expired on April 27th. You need to go to http://www.DomainExplorer.com, create an account, and transfer the domain 'triwebs.com' into here. Once you transfer, your domain will get prolonged until April 27th, 2006. This will cost you $12 USD. If you do not do this, you will risk losing your domain name. I recommend that you transfer the domain no later than 1 month before expiration.

Upon transfer you will gain full control of your domain.

Thanks very much, my faith has been restored.

Is DomainExplorer completely safe?

Are there any settings I need to take care of?

Fantastic, I'm now getting these errors:

Quote:
ERROR: Cannot find database forum_triwebs

There appears to be an error with the Invision Power Board database.
You can try to refresh the page by clicking here, if this does not fix the error, you can contact the board administrator by clicking here

It seems that they can't find the database.
