Part of it is white, and since its on a white background you can't see it.

How it appears depends on the color scheme of your forum. It's not really a bug but as you said, if you have a white background, the white text wont appear.

I use the default skin.... plus as you can see only part of it is unseeable

I was at a phpbb forum and the same part was unseeable and the backgorund was black

I think it's like that on purpose, that way if someone has the white background they can see the black, if they have a black background they can see the white, and if they have a dark background they have more of a chance to see the bold black link. They made it so some form of link to forumer shows up with any skin you choose.
