Is there a way to give a member moderator powers without his name being added to the Forum Moderaters list. I am trying to give a user Mod powers in a certain Forum but he is not a mod, so I don't want him to be mistaken for one.

Go to Forum Control<<click Moderators and click the forum you want that person to moderate choose single Moderator on the button there...
then type in the user name and click all the premissions as well.

That would add him to the forum moderators list. It will either display a member name or a group name, I don't think there's any way around that. You could put him in his own group and make that group a moderator for that forum.

That still wouldn't work because the group would be added to the forum moderators list.

Yeah...that would be the best bet... go to Users & Groups make like a Mod user group just for him. And if you want make a forum just for him Forum Control clickNew Category make the category and then click New forum and make the forum. and set up all the premission maks for that mod.

Sorry, but I don't think it is possible to make a member a moderator without them appearing on a moderating list or Forum Led By list.

There is probably no way around it. Really its not that big of a deal if he is on moderators. Because technically he would be moderator if he can mod a forum.

Something has to show up in the Forum Led By list, right? You could always try to change something in the HTML templates to prevent this person from being listed as a moderator, though I can't find the file that would need to be edited. I really don't think it's necessary, though.
