As we know, Topic title cannot be longer than 50 characters.

But I happened to find topic title can be longer than 50 characters if you edit the post after you add post.

And I want to know how many characters can member enter a post?

Is it unlimited?

Yesterday I found there is a post in my forum I always can't open it. And after I click this post , I can hardly open all the forum for a long time.

Most members can't open the post except the writer.

Finally, I ask the writer to shorten the post, then everything is okay.

It's either a bug or you have enabled some control that lets the user make the title longer.

I can't find where can I change the Max Length Of The Topic Title The Post.

Sorry for reopening this topc, but I'm having trouble with this as well. On the IPB board you could easily change that, but on the new Phbb boards I can't find anything that allows me to make the titles longer. Or am I overlooking something?

if you have an IPB forum - do this:
ADMINCP -> HTML TEMPLATES -> MANAGE HTML -> POST SCREEN SECTIONS -> POST: TOPIC TITLE FIELDS -> EDIT SINGLE

this is the code you will see

just change the 2 numbers in red to how ever many characters long that you want each to be,
