is there a way to put a welcome page so to speak as in as you enter the site your greated by some picks and a message and also a menu across the top cheers

You may achieve the described effect above by using a redirecting portal so to speak. This may be done using IP Dynamic Lite. The thread to set-up IPDL can be found here.

Check to make sure there are no links near the top portion of your board diplaying the Portal's title(What you typed in, in the configuration). I also have a problem like this though where my IPDL seems to be set-up perfectly but nothing happens. Don't know what to tell ya.

The only thing that needs to be set-up is the IPDL configuration page. Nothing else should have an effect on this page.(So I've heard)
