Default Can you clean up uncomplete reregistration?

Hi,
I am trying to regist asharpchoir.forumer.com
I must typed wrong email address that I didn't get registration email.
When I try again it is said the name is already registed.

This is for our choir to use so I really want to use our choir name 'ASharp'.
Is there a way you can remove the half registed name and let me start over?
Our choir has over 50 members I really want to use the name of 'asharpchoir'.

I first used email asharpchoir@yahoo.com registed asharp.forumer.com. It didn't complete because the name is too short. I then try to use the same email regist asharpchoir.furumer.com. I am not sure one email can regist two forums or not. If not allowed, Can you remove the uncompleted 'asharp' registration too so that I can use asharpchoir@yahoo.com to regist asharpchoir.forumer.com?
( I reported a bug for the 'asharp' failure. The name is too short to complete which is ok but it should let me know in first step not last)

Thank you very much!

I first registed asharp.forumer.com I got the email and went through everything. At very last step it told me the name is too short.
It would be nice to stop me at first step

You do not need to make several threads about the same problem, it's just confusing so i merged them.

and no you can not register 2 forums on 1 email. YOu need to use a new email address with the new forum name. Also that forum name is not short... if it was short it would have been refused in the firs step.

In the last step it's asking for your preferred user name, maybe that was too short, not the forum name

ok sorry about that. I thought one is bug and one is service request

Now both asharpchoir and asharp are not completed. Is it possible that you can remove the half registed names so that I can startover? We really prefer regist asharpchoir.forumer.com or asharp.forumer.com using asharpchoir@yahoo.com

I still have the registration email when I regist 'asharp.forumer.com'. I click it now it gives me 404 error says the forumer doesn't exist. If I can get that back it will be just fine.

Thanks in advance

two bugs

1. Since you have one email one forum policy, the email should be checked when I regist the forum. The current situation is, when I use same email regist second forum it went through but didn't send me email nor error msg. the name I regist becomes unavailable afterwards. Even I regist a new email I still cannot regiest same forum name

2. At last step of registration, it said something 'name is too short'. Whatever is too short. I should be allowed to correct it and proceed. Now the registration failed and I cannot start over with that same name again.

Hope this helps

Also please let me know if it is possible that you can clean up the mess and I can start over. My last choice is regist a new email and new forum name. As a group we reall want the current email and forum name that matches our choir name

If the registration is not complete the forum name should became available again after 48 hours, so it is possible that you might be able to use it again...

I have actually tried both your preferred forum names as well as your chosen email address and all seemed to be available.........the registration was not refusing them as it was refusing other forum names and emails I tried (which I know for sure that are taken).

Also when registering a forum on a yahoo or hotmail emails also make sure that you check the junk folder if you don't receive the email in the inbox because it might happen that the confirmation email goes to the junk folder.

I forgot mention. It is IPB not PHP. They are available on PHP only. I just tried IPB. asharpchoir is still taken. Thanks for trying though

FTY
the reason I cannot finish step2 is because I used double byte chars in some fields. After changing to ASCII it is created.

there is no such thing as a name available in phpBB but taken in IPB, they are all Forumer forums so the name is either available or taken in all types of forums......... I just felt I need to explain this in case other people readi t.
