Any news on this?

Here's a motivator: The reason why I want this feature to work again is so I can announce a contest, that will bring more traffic to the forums, which in turn means the potential for more people to click on the ads and you to make money. Does this help in motivating you guys to fix this?

See above post. I hope that is motivation enough to fix the problem, one that is 3 (three) months old. I wonder when this will be a priority.

I lost dozens of new registrations and a some members also walked away during this couple of weeks "meltdown".

IF I got my bulk email working I could try to get them back.

That's just being lame right there. So, just because we have ads, just gives you the right to insult us about taking our time on a bug that we are not able to duplicate / having a hard time trying to fix. Is that right?

No, but it is the reason why you host forums. To make money. It's quite obvious and it's okay. If you weren't in it to make money, then there'd be no ads right? So, it's not lame at all.

I have no problem with Forumer making money. But, the lack of communication on this and other bugs is insulting to those of us who have spent so much time setting our forums up, fixing A LOT of problems ourselves (see Sent items thread). We aren't paid either. But, we are doing everything we can to bring new people in and keep the members we have. I've lost members because of these bugs. And, the person financing this contest is getting pretty angry because I can't give him a solution on a problem that is 3 months old. So, who should feel insulted here?

No, no, you misunderstood me. It seems like every time someone reports something to us, they have to mention the ads - and they use it in a negative way.

Just like the same reason, un-educated kids all across the nation flip burgers for a living?

I don't rely on THIS job to make my income - so, unfortunately, I hate to prove you wrong, but I leave you no choice. A matter of fact, I make my hourly wage here in a MONTH than I do at my job, which is in local law enforcement.

Although, I do apologize that you have been facing this issue for three months (), but like I said, we're doing all we can to correct the problem.

The un-educated kid who flip burgers has to flip the burgers and cook the food. They can't only half cook them can they? You work in local law enforcement. You can't just half enforce the law? Right?

I'm glad you are paid. If i understand your post correctly, it sounds like you make very little money here. They should pay you more!

Anyway, thank you for working on the problem and for answering my posts. I just hope it's prioritized at this point, Maybe you can send a message to Limez or someone else who has access to the server. I understand that most of the support staff here doesn't have that access.

Nope, a matter of fact I am currently suspended.

Nah, it's ok. They don't need too, each month varies in pay, etc.

Anyways, enough about me.... I believe it is... If not, I will get together with a coder and discuss this issue with him. He's a unix expert, so he knows more than I do about computers - after all, I get shot at all day long - LOL!

Attitude, now that server 5 is running fine again (fingers crossed), i have to return to my fight for this. You have got to understand this:

I (we) joined forumer because it had this support forum, not because it had no ads. At that time there were no ads and no problems, now there are ads and big problems, so "the ads" are what we got to bargain with, nothing else.

Other reason for this is that our members start to ask questions and we have nothing to answer and cant do anything about it, so we came here and do the same to forumer, the difference is that forumer can actually do something!

We are locked inside forumer and I dont have a problem with this as long as it works without a fuss. What I dont understand is why certain features are just taken away forum us and others simply stopped working. Is it because of abuse? Cant forumer just lock the foruns that abuse them? We have to pay for other admins abuse? Some are here to play but others take this really serious! With this happening we are loosing credibility and Members.

We dont get any income for this. We do it because we enjoy it, just like you are here trying to help.

To me this is all about priorities and forumer should establish some.

Now that the problems with the servers are fixed, the priorities are on my sig. Please (someone) adress them.

Thank you.

Those remaining issues will be fixed Alex. We are just overloaded with many tasks right now. Please have more patience.

(it would help if you could PM me the necessary user/pass where we can test the bulk mail bug. I need to find out if this bug is only because your forum has a domain attached or some other issue.)

I just sent you a PM with my details. I'm on server one. And Attitude, sorry to hear you got suspended. You should be commended for putting your life on the line for what you do in law enforcement.

It's fine.. I did something I shouldn't have done. I am back on duty today though.

Anyways, I need to apologize to you about last night (I was rude and unprofessional), I was pretty aggravated at some personal issues, but that is no excuse.

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I'm sorry if I got frustrated as well. I'm glad to hear you are back on the force. I hope things work out with you. It's frustrating when you have stress to deal with in life. Thanks again for your help on this. Limez responded and I sent him a PM. So I hope it will all be fixed soon.

Alright! Bulk email is working again (my forum on server 5)! Tnx Limez!

Now, and just to be on the safe side, cant you grant us 2 or 3 bulk emails a week, instead of 1. I know 1 is better than none, but It just feels wrong to have just 1. What if we send one and then need to send another because the first one went with the wrong info or something like that. Think that over please. Tnx again.

PS: Dont forget the last request on my sig, until now nobody complained but I would like it fixed. Tnx
