Default Bug Reporting Rules [Please read this before posting]

As I look over the Bug Report forum, I noticed that lately there have been a huge number of duplicate/non bug reports that we've filed away quite sometime ago.

The Forumer Team is very pleased to all members are wanting to help out to find the little errors and bugs within our forum software, and please recognize that we really appreciate all your reports. However, at sometimes it gets quite ridiculous.
I've composed a list of rules before you should conduct before reporting any so called "Bugs". Often times, the Search feature will find your answer. Please use it to search for keywords of your problem and make sure that your bug report hasn't already been reported. This will save the Forumer Team quite a bit of time when answering to the Bug Reports. If you're going to conduct a search, run the search option over all of the Bug Report Sub-forums.
  • State your problem
Please don't simply link us to your board and tell us to look at it. State your problem, state when the problem started occurring and what you did to cause this problem (if anything). You must understand that the more detail the Forumer Team has, the more assistance we'll be able to provide you with.
  • Back-track the problem
Please provide us with all the steps you did to cause the error/bug on your board. We'll need to know exactly what you did you be able to provide you with assistance on your report. If you don't provide us with enough information you may find your bug report moved to the support boards.
  • Do not ask support questions
This forum is for bug reporting, not for asking support questions. For official support please use our support boards.

I'd like to thank all of those for assisting in the development Forumer, thanks and happy bug reporting!

UPDATED:

Before posting in this forum, we ask that you please make sure of the below:
  • Am I posting in the right section? Remember, phpBB and IPB have separate forums!
  • Did someone else make a thread about the same problem?
    • If so, please post in the existing thread!
  • Did I read all the stickies in this forum first? I don't want to be the one who doesn't look good because I am clueless!
Anyone not following the above is subject to having their topic moved, locked, or both.
