This tutorial will show you how to create a Prince of Persia tag. As I have said before, you can use another image; but, when you do you will get an entirely different outcome as a result of color differentials, et. al.

Method

First of all, find a stock image. On a blank canvas, put a gradient that matches the stock image you are using

Next get your stock image and go to Filter > Distort > Ripple, and smudge it in some parts.

Duplicate the stock once again and use the same filter effect. Smudge it again on some parts.

Paste your render on the top of every layer, and erase some of the edges to blend it in.

Then get a 45px soft brush and brush some black at some spots and smudge a bit.

Then make a new layer and fill it with black. Put it on linear dodge and get a 200px soft brush and make a light source.

Next, add some gradient maps. In this case the following were used:
- Yellow/White
- Blue/White
- Orange photo filter
- Brightness/Contrast

Then go to Image > Apply Image, and Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen

Erase some parts that are oversharpened or which don't look good.

Finally, optionally text and a border. A black border might look good in the above example.
