Hey now, it has only been about two weeks actually. Yes, we have been working on both techmonkeys (dont ask) and electron for over two months though.

I had suggested to wierdo that we just use CSS for all the stuff table related, but we just ended up using tables for certain things. Which actually worked out good enough.

Im just not use to seeing HTML come out like that .. Im using FireFox! I just figure if you're selling a product or item, it should be totally awesome! Just my opinion though and the way Im seeing it is all. Wish ya luck on it!

I just took a look at it again...maybe just the colors.. But that too, is just my opinion though.

Could you please explain exactly what you mean by "come out like that". Maybe you are just used to the common syntax style that a lot of automation programs add to the html layout? That's possible because we coded the entire site without the help of any syntax editor. Only using either Notepad or the hosts file manager text editor. You should of saw wierdo's single, long line, of table code, before he "optimized" the code, I guess you could say. A few blocks of code is a lot easier to follow then a long line.

Wierdo and I only have Internet Explorer installed right now, but I plan to install most of the popular browsers onto my computer, and check for compatibility. For now, could people please take a screenshot of the website, browser window maximized, and link to it in this thread. We would like to see what the site looks like in other browsers.

Any suggestions for a better color scheme? Not sure if you noticed, but with javascript allowed, the websites main div turns from white bg, to grey on mouseover, and returns to normal on mouseout. The border also changes slightly.

Everyones comments and suggestions are appriciated.

Thanks

It's EWS in my sig.

And I will be installing Firefox 2 today, so I will compare it and try to fix any potential bugs.

Ok, I just checked in Netscape 6.2, which I found in my computer. It looks HORRIBLE. I think I can fix it with a couple quick fixes, and firefox might be the same way...

The prices, No offense, are much too high. I have domain registration now for only $12 a year and $4.95 a month for the domain, but they don't do the site for you. I think you offering to build the site should cost a bit more, but only maybe $20-40 more. Also, putting a page limit is a little demanding, especially at a high price. I recommend $20 a year for an account and $8 a month for domain registration, an extra charge for ad removal, promotion through google, yahoo, dogpile for extra as well, and maybe a flat fee for creation of logos, buttons, etc. Have some kind of archive of default logos and templates for them to choose from, then offer to customize it for them. But, and once again to no offense, for that price I would assume that most people would head over to a bigger business for much cheaper. Just offering advice. I only pay $5 for www.vs5gaming.com, and 10 subdomains, http://forums.vs5gaming.com (<-feel free to register) included. However, like you stated earlier, Weirdo, if they had little or no knowledge of PHP or HTML, then of couse the price would go up. Just a tip or two =)

I'm working on that, and I'm going to get firefox as soon as possible, the download messed up, so I'm having to get it at school and transfer it to my home computer. (my home internet is dialup)

@M3N4C3 Yes, I agree the prices are somewhat high. I was going for the plans to be lower but... don't ask.

I was the one who said that we should raise all the prices. I don't really feel like making websites for people, for little to nothing, especially considering how time consuming it is. M3N4C3, I agree with what you have said though. Actually, thats exactly along the lines of what I was thinking. The stuff where we have to do little to nothing, except maybe register the domain, should just be set a tad bit above the actual cost, but the website creation plans need to be a little more expensive... Wierdo had the plans set way to cheap, and then I set them to high. What we have now is basically inbetween the two.

Making some pre-made banners is also a great idea. Thanks.

I've been working with photoshop for a number of years now, and although I dislike forum requests and buttons I could help you out with banners and such.

We can pay you fbucks if you want to make some "layout" banners. How does ten decent banners for 3000 fbucks sound? Exact price will depend on the quality of them, it could be slightly more or less. This offer is only open to you M3N4C3, and no one else.
