These are the final rules for the 2004 Graphics Design Contest. Please read ASAP if you are to be a designer.


Rules

UPDATED 06/04/2004

Once the designers have been desided there will be no late
signups. Once they have been found they will be organized
according to skill levels and put in a series of 4 rounds,
each round betweer 2 different people. Judges will deside
the winner of each Round. Winners will proceed to the next
phase and the others will be eliminated.
Designers may use which ever design program they wish, no
matter the quality or popularity. Unacceptable images
containing any innappropriate content will be removed and
the creator eliminated. Graphics in each round must relate
to the given subject in a signifficant way; once agian
unrelated graphics will be removed. No animations are
permitted in there contests. An animation contst may be held
at another time.
If a designer is unable to meat a deadline for a good reason
(According to the judges), their compeditor will have the
option either to let them have extra time or to eliminate
them.

Saturday, June 13th to Friday, June 18th:

1B: Ignite vs. Jman
2B: (ghost)RIP vs. Tommyk14


Saturday, June 19th to Friday, June 25th:

1C: Winners of matches 1A, 2A, 3A, 1B and 2B.


Saturday, June 26th - Friday, July 4th:

1D: Top three designers in 1C (decided by judges)


Saturday, July 5th - Friday, July 11th

1Finals: Top 2 from 1D

The Outline for each contest will be released in a new topic either the night before the start date or the first day of the competition. No challenge will be used twice; therefore each two-person round will have a different outline then the next. Please be sure to use the correct instructions at the correct time. Persice details on how to post your graphic, how and when it will be rated, and when to post them will be released with each outline.

The designers' competitions were based on the ratings you
gave yourselves. They were based as accurately as possible.

The outlines will be given at the beginning of each contest. So if you would look at the dates above, see when you are to begin and visit during that day (Or maybe the night before) and Read the outline for your match. Make sure you read the right topic ~ They will be titled according to the participants. IE:

Title: AirborneCow vs. Mr Alex

Post: [outline for this match]

Yes, this means that none of the outlines will require an animated graphic, nor permit one. In most cases, animations would not suit the job anyways.
