| Active Forumer ![]() | Well if you want the background to be transparent and you are using adobe photoshop you can select transparent for the background when your creating the document. If you are trying to make an image already on a banner/logo etc transparent you just change the opacity. (I use adobe photoshop).... |

| Active Forumer ![]() | -Select the layer with the image on it -Then in the big box with all the layers listed, you'll see a lil drop down menu "Opacity". Mess around with that... |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | I got this one >.< Open a new document, whatever size you wish it to be, set the BACKGROUND CONTENTS to transparent (Not the two color options you have when beginning) Create your signature//banner//graphic and leave ALL places you want to be transparent with the checkered background. Save your file as a *.PNG or *.GIF, a *.JPG WILL NOT WORK. Jpeg files fill in this area with black or white typically. Upload, you're done. Hope that works for you, should do so ![]() Need more help with GFX, PM for it ![]() Edit: Those urls are what I visit ![]() |

| Member | Use the magid wand tool to select the area you want to erase, select background eraser tool and erase a small part of the area, press ctrl+x. If you want a smoother result, once you've made the selected area transparent, select the area with the magic wand again, right click and press 'feather'. Select the numbers of pixels you want to be smoothed and press 'okay'. Remember, you need a transparent background to start and to save it a .PNG. |
