I made my avatar, using Jasc piantshop pro.
So what do you guys think?

Really nice! How do you make it animated though?

I save a one gif at difrent stages, then use a program that puts them all in a row... So it's like drawing a cartoon on the corners of your notebook, and then flipping through.
the gif animation programe i used is unfreeze, it's freeware.

Your banner seems fairly warm and easy on the eye.

May I suggest adding a border though, to balance the graphic properly?
