Default [RESOLVED] Guild banner for WOW clan forum

Hello everybody, I would need some help to finalize the banner for my WOW guild's web site.

Type of Image (e.g Avatar, Signature, etc): Banner for guild website
Text on The Image (e.g Hi, Why?, etc): Guild name : Eternam, faction: Alliance, server: Confrérie du Thorium
Images on The Image (e.g I'd like this image on this image): a group of WOW Alliance side toons.
Image Colour Scheme (e.g Black & Blue, etc): black, blue, magenta, see 1st banner below or anything which would fit to the guild's web site
Image Size (e.g 90x90, 80x80, etc): 1000x200 (just an idea, doesn't need to be exact)
Image Animations (e.g I'd like this animation, etc): yes, will show belowImage Side Notes (Anything else you'd like to add): Eternam stands for eternal, may be this can be reflected.
Forum link: http://azouka.guild-heberg.fr (it's in French)

As you can see I got already some help from an artist called Mac Allister to create a first version for my forum banner. Unfortunately I'm not able to reach the artist anymore.

What I'm looking for is replacing the Draneď toon with a group of alliance side toons, like in the second example.

I would like to have a border around the banner similar to the one in the "Apophis" banner. Having part of the toons body (hand, head, weapon) on the border would be great.

And to reflect eternity I like very much this moving light bar as can be seen on the "Furore" banner.

Help is very much appreciated.

//Taralom

May be the 3 free World Of Warcraft Photoshop Brushes from http://www.photoshopessentials.com/p...d-of-warcraft/ might be of some help to create the group of alliance side toons. May be that these black and white brushes will look great on a colored banner.

Direct link for the (ZIP) download of the PhotoShop abr files:

http://www.photoshopessentials.com/p...-brushes-1.zip
http://www.photoshopessentials.com/p...-brushes-2.zip
http://www.photoshopessentials.com/p...-brushes-3.zip

The "Eternam" banner shown in my first post is only an example, I do not ask for this banner to be modified. The only reason it is shown is because I tried to be as explicit as possible in trying to explain what exactly I am looking for.

Of course if any artist is trying to help me, he is completely free in the design of the banner.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings, Taralom

Hey that's not bad at all.

You have put the border. +1
You changed the toons. +1
The toons a partly on the border +1
There is a bean +1
The banner goes very well with the site's background +1, have a look

If it's not to ask to much,

- I prefer the font on the Eternam or Apophis example, especially the "hammered filling being used" inside the fonts.
- I think you used a blood elf (horde) on the banner, not really good for an Alliance guild (should be a night elf), if by chance you find a way to add a human and a draneď...
- You can leave the text "server:" away, "Confrérie du Thorium" is enough.
- I liked the bar in the background as this was o good way to "show" eternity, the bean should be on the bar. Could the bean have the form of a star or bullet?
- And I like the yellow-orange bean on the furore example, it's more "flashy", feel free to change the "eternam" text colour if needed.

I do very much appreciate your work, is there any chance to know what tools are being used?

@cadet

Following your ImageReady tutorial I was able to add a bean to "original" Eternam banner (CS3 demo version). Of course as I do not have access to the different layers of the original banner I was only able to add the bean to the full image.

But anyhow, I would prefer to use the banner you did create for me. Unfortunately it is not looking exactly as I wanted it to be (I know I'm very demanding ) and I'm wondering if there would be any chance to receive your original Photoshop file so that I could try to make the changes myself?

On top off that this would help me a lot to increase my Photoshop knowledge (1 hr up to now...), having a working example to rely on.
