Correct. I haven't really experimented with changing the color levels of these images because they have multiple layers. I am also not really sure if the coloring will turn out great, but I can try

If you're using photoshop, start by adjusting the image and then adjust the layer. Use the Image > Adjustments > Match Color; or, you can experiment with any of those options in that section to change the color levels.
