It's just the accent which is mainly different.

Pokies is short for poker machines. That is what we call them here. The term slot machine does not exist in Australia. I have never accually heard of slot machines (I don't think most Aussies have). Australia is not a formal country it is very yobbo so you here a lot of abreviations like that

That's not the only Australian terminology, that is what I have used so far!
I'm about 34% that a bloke caan be an animal so you can't just say it can. I'm not really sure, so don't start using it if you come to Austrlia, just conferm that with someone if you do!
Aussie=Austrlian
I'm not so suere with Aussie terminology. I was born here in Australia & have lived here for all 13-14 years of my life!!! So I know preatty much all :!:

Also
loo=toilet (so does dunny)
barbie=BBQ
Shaza=Sharon

Does anyone know the Australian name for this transport????
also does anyone know the difference in Australian terminology the difference between (all these refer to transport, one line for each):

Thanks, remember AUSTRALIAN TERMINOLOGY FOR BOTH
And to all the moderatoors, I'm not yelling or getting angry withthe Capital Letters, just trying to get my point across, which is generally what you will see from me, so get used to it!!!!!

caps and multiple exclamation marks on the internet represent yelling,
If you want to get your point across then use other BB code like bold, underlined, italic or highlight with color or even all of it.

If you yell you'll get warned, so get used to getting your point across in a polite way!

I will not tell you again!
