The German government says it plans to ban combat games such as paintball, in response to the recent school shooting in Southern Germany where sixteen people, including the gunman, were killed. The also plans to ban games like laser-tag that stimulate killing on that they trivialise and encourage violence.

There has been a spate of these types of incidents recently but do you think that these types of games encourage violence? We could say the same about video games and movies..?

I have access to both guns & violent games & movies. But that doesn't mean a thing as they don't correlate. People need to step up to the plate & recognize individual situations & problems, & not speculate a round-about answer & punish the rest of society.

I have a real problem when some a-hole goes on a shooting rampage, & then I get the punishment because "I'm just another mindless drone following the same steps as the gunman".

Either that or we are all in fact cattle.

Well it is simple. If you get the idea of shooting with a paint ball gun is like useing a real gun then you need to be showed the dif with a melon, so they now what they do. And then get it punched into there brain, that Real Guns kill but paintball is for fun...

I don't see what the big deal is. If kids want to go have fun and paint each other up with paintballs or go play laser tag in their free time, why not? I don't see anything wrong with LASER TAG. It's harmless.

if they want to ban games, ban video games too, all of them that contains shooting people. Surely, those games will have the same effects too.

What The Hell!? If you are moratic enough to bee convinced by paint ball,movies ect. are good you decerve to go to jail! Even though jail in Australlia is like a 5 star hotel with no way you get everything in them (off topic from here) they have pay TV, internet, swimming pools ect. The government is sitting around a table saying "how do we stop ciber crime" "I don't know why don't we through them in jail" "exerlaent idea, let's also give them accsess to the internet" "Exetrlent idea, we're doing that"

	You all know about the Darwin Awards -- It's an annual honor given to the person who did the gene pool the biggest service by killing themselves in the most extraordinarily stupid way. Last year's winner was the fellow who was killed by a Coke machine which toppled over on top of him while he was attempting to tip a free soda out of it.
