Default Funny moment while on duty...

So, I was in my cruiser doing traffic patrol earlier this morning, listening to the scanner and one officer pulled over this Chinese lady (and I kid yo not), her name was "Fuk Eu", but the officer apparently didn't know the pronunciation (pronounce as F**k YOU) of the name, and apparently the dispatcher was illiterate so was like "O.....kay... Can you repeat that again?" when dispatch said "Eu Fuk, address is confirmed"

Dispatch said: "Fuk You"
Officer: "Umm, excuse me??"
Dispatch: Eu Fuk, Eu Fuk, Eu Fuk, Fuk Eu, I've said it 10 times already, Eu Fuk! Eu.......oooohhhh!!'

*silence over the airwaves*

I burst out laughing for 10 minutes, began to cry for 15 minutes from laughing so hard and almost crashed my unmarked Dodge Charger off the road LOL

Back to paperwork!

Been there, destroyed that.

Another funny thing, which involves my new signature...

I arrested some scum kid, slapped the cuffs on, and stuffed him in the back seat, he's complaining about the handcuffs being too tight. My reply to him was "The handcuffs are tight because they are new, and they will stretch out once you wear them for a while "

He replies, "maaann you all always say that maaan"

Me, "oh? So this is not your first time in handcuffs then, maybe you should get used to them being tight " *shuts the back seat door*

Been there, destroyed that.

Yeah, but those things are tighter than one might expect... the 1st time.

That is a great story, & signature.

That is true. But keep in mind, they're not built for comfort either When I arrest some scum, I couldn't care less about their comfort in the back seat, they should of thought about that before committing a crime

Also, I remember in the academy when we were practicing handcuffing for the first time, I volunteered (NEVER volunteer for ANYTHING by the way LOL), to be handcuffed by a first time hand cuffer... OMG! ... cut off the circulation, and my wrists were red for a few days.

Edit: LOL @ Jay Leno's Headlines - he's having the weddings portion of that segment...

"The McMaster Bates wedding"
then the "Houser Annus" Wedding

That's exactly what they told me!

But I never did get a 2nd comparison. So I'll just take your word for it.

A friend of mine told me that while he was in training (not for police but security) that the last part of the training was to get maced, so that they knew the amount of pain it would cause. Therefore, allowing them to make better judgement of when to use it. No thank you!

Ah, yeah... it's a good idea not to get the second comparison... Also, I like to handcuff tight (for the criminal's safety and mine), because if they're too loose, you can find a way to slip out of them. If I can stick my pinky in there, they're fine. Also, I use S&W Hinged cuffs.

As for the OC spray... yes, that is the worst part of the academy - probably the worst day of my life too. Lets put it this way... I'd rather live in a gas chamber for a week than go through that sh*t again.

Back in the old days, you had to be tased as well, (I've been tased about 5 times now - one by accident), that sucks, but it's over in 5 seconds and you recover instantly, unlike being maced.

Sorry for double...

Here's a little hint I tell suspects (who have been cooperative with me and haven't ran, resisted, etc... I tell them to sit their butts in first, slide in and sit sideways, that way you're not leaning back on the cuffs and you have more pressure on your hands.

Very funny.
Here, mobile phone and all two-way radio equipment have to be turned off when the driver is all alone in the car.

?

This was a police frequency scanner... The frequencies are used by at least 4 different departments and the sheriff's office. Are you referring to that statute that civilians can't use radios or police?

Here our law does not have statues, just rules, not enough concrete, nothing about frequency mentioned in the the Indian Penal Code.

In the U.S., there's Statutes, Laws AND Ordinances. Plus, half of the sh*t isn't written in plain English and it's very confusing to understand. Maybe that's why you need a degree in criminal justice...
