| Senior Forumer   |  OK here goes CONTEST for forumers only! OK so I had this thread about contest idea's. Well since quizzes or posting/referring contest would work here's how it goes. Read the do's and don't's very well. The prize: 1 vbulletin license 1 vbseo license 1 flashat license 1 domain name .com or .net only no .info or any other 1 hosting 6 gb of writing space and 60gb of bandwidth and many pr backlinks of my current domain. Does: -1 read this whole thread carefully, not sticking to the rules might get u disqualified. 0 The age of the contestants must be 15+ why is that?? well because of certain rules and experience I know that people have a good change at that age. 1 Post here your forum idea, that's includes the subject, possible domain name, how u think u would get members and seo ranking etc. 2 I want a good reply with all the things u think that can make your idea big and working. 3 ppost your skill u already have when it comes to webmastering 4 post url's without the http:// or www(so they won't work as actual links) of forums/websites u already own. 5 post your blog skills, cause with the forum I want u do add a blog with it to. 6 this contest will run for 3 days and will end on Wednesday 12.00 hours DUTCH time 7 as soon as the winner has been announced please add me on your msn. 8 The winner will have to start RIGHT AWAY  if I do not get contact with the winner 2 days after they have been declared winner the price will go to someone else.9 your website will have to be English 10 do post which vbulletin mods u wanna use. Don'ts: 1 just one idea/reply to this thread, make sure it's good. 2 no adult idea's, guess i do not need to say more. 3 do not pm me and beg me to choose u as a winner. 4 don't ask friends to post idea in the hope that they might win and u would still get it all. why am I doing this? Well someone else gave me the same chance. I managed to make something out of it and now I can say I have a little success on the net. I wanna give that same chance to someone else. Why forumer? Since I have been a member on forum for over 2 years. it's a kinda thank u to all members and staff who gave me my first forum ever and made me forum sick. I also choose forumer cause it's filled with young people with bright idea's just don't have the cash to fulfill them. That's why I wanna try and help them. All license will stay mine, that is because all my license are 1 one account and I could loose all if I gave acces to one person. I will become admin of your current forum but won't interfere with the installing, skin etc. I'll just post and help out but the rest is up to you. I won't retract the licenses until I notice after many months(I know forums can go slow) that u are not doing your best or it's just not working) that the forum is doomed. All forumer members can compete, this contest won't be posted on other forums. This is my kind thank u to forumer for being fun all this time. I can disqualify anyone who does not stick to the rules or who think they need to post like 10 times in this thread in the hope they can win.All the files will be send through msn. First of all as you know I'm 23, so that whole 15+ is fine. I do believe I can make something big out of this deal, mainly the forum. It does not matter what forum software it is, but I suppose vBulletin is a bonus as it has a lot more flexibility and more features etc. As you know I have years of experience with vBulletin so I know how to handle and run it, so there is no problem there, but I have used pretty much every big forum software out there including, IPB 1.3, phpBB2, 3, SMF, and IPB 2.3 (current), so I have pretty much a lot of experience throughout the stages of my forums. I have the ability to promote well, this includes blogs and also I know SEO, and such. The URL to my forum I currently run is skylimit.info *new forum* So it is now time for my idea, I think the key thing to any forum is to make it unique, and also something a guest feels like its worth joining up so I have took them 2 things on board and came up with an idea. My idea is going to be based on websites in general, so lets say a beginner who is all new to websites has not got a clue, and is seeking for help on various things such as SEO, settings up a forum, website, tips, and hints on building or getting traffic to their website, website templates, dealing with communities, advice on what to buy and not to buy, website hosting, and so on. So they go to my forum and get full support, tips, freebies, and so on for beginners. The site will have knowledge bases and tutorials, and it will have links for forum scripts all over the world, downloads like mods, skins, templates, tutorials, e-books, and so on. Also, the site will have staff who actually build a website for people, and help them progress and fully support them. Please bare in mind this will need a lot of staff, so I will have to get a lot of staff (no problem though). Also to make use of the blogs it can be used for people writing about their experience in websites, and the things I mentioned so new members can take a look and benefit from them or also take up some advice from it, as we all know there is a lot of people out there who want to create their own website forum or new to it, and need support. So the benefits from the site will be :
I can see this being very successful, as like I said there is are so many people out there who need that support what we give and everything what I mentioned. I also have alot of time to promote these days. This will be a non-profit organization, unless Google ads, and such get into place. Or custom paid packages, but not yet as it's going to be free and when it gets big, possibly we may implement premium features and memberships, but we do not wanna jump the gun just yet. Yes, it will have a general community section as everybody likes general chit chat. Yes, the forum will be in English, but with optional language choices, as its going to be for people all over the world. The mods I would use would be : Download database, Blog, Zoints SEO, and a few skins to choose from. Possibly an arcade for fun. Also it could be, a free film forum, as I know for a fine fact there is only a few forums out there what provide free films and are huge, so like it would be split up in forums, dated films, so people can view the direct links to watch full films. The blogs could be used for reviews on movies, so people know what to watch. I will also have a weekly updated cinema table, so it will list all the new movies out there( just a little add on). I know a lot of people who like movies, so I will have no trouble getting staff, and a big community that's for sure, the same goes with my first idea, so films will get posted daily so in a month or so there will be like about 5,000 films for people to watch, but films will still be added, because I know the forum will be very successful if there's a lot of films for people to watch for free instead of them paying for films. As I know guests will join to see the films they would want to watch. Also, a guest forum where previews of movies will be posted and if they like them I am sure they will join to see the full thing for free. Benefits :

It will have a forum, a blog, and maybe a toplist. 2 I want a good reply with all the things u think that can make your idea big and working. Well, I want to make the place as nice as possible, where people of al ages can talk and enjoy. 3 ppost your skill u already have when it comes to webmastering Well, I am pretty good at HTML/php/CSS/coding/JScript/design, and installations 4 post url's without the http:// or www(so they won't work as actual links) of forums/websites u already own. I don't want to as they are subpar forums. 5 post your blog skills, cause with the forum I want u do add a blog with it to. I am pretty good at blogging and can use blogs to post stuff for campaigns, and other ideas of mine including local issues. 10 do post which vbulletin mods u wanna use. I would like to use, Mark As Resolved, iTrader, vBPlaza, and AdSense Revenue Sharing Well, that was mine. If you want me to add anything else, please ask.  |

We would offer a massive range of free services to everyone. But, there would have to be something a little unique about this. For a start, having such a range of services all combined in the one place would be entincing. There would be the friendly community as well as the large range of services. These services would include...site promotion [many different aspects including seo help], graphic design and request, coding/skinning support and design, technical support, forum/website support and setup plus much much more. Promotion Ideas: As I know a lot about SEO and Website promotion I would be able to easily and effectivly promote and advertise the forum. I currently am working on a website but it is not active as yet. I know a large ammount of HTML and xHtml as well as some PHP and Javascript. I am a, if I can say it, expert at installing modifications to forumer forums and have done well with others. I can skin css and have made a few forum skins. I have also tried my hand at coded templates and created a better than terrible result...not bad for a first shot. At one stage I had my skins submitted on large skin sites. I am also quite good a graphics and own photoshop. I have been making graphics for a few years and know many tricks and tips. I have a good sense of design, colour and proportions. I currently work for a business as a webmaster, system administrator, links and website management, and domain manager and have been for the last year and a half. Over this time I have learned business management skills, website management, system administration, domain management, website setup plus much much more. PM me for more info. I did own a vBulliten forum for a lengthy period last year so I know how to work the admin pannel and features. I am very familiar with the whole setup of this (vb) forum software. As you might know, I have owned around 10 forums - 5 of which have got past 5000 posts and 100 members and 3 of them that have achieved 10k + posts and 400+ members. These forums also had PR of 2+. I also had "Rock 1 Forum" that achieved 20k+ posts and 500+ members before it was hacked. Rock 1 Forum achieved a PR of 4. (after it was hacked I researched and fully found out heaps of information about hacking and how to stop it. I have found foll proof ways of now making sure the forum is not hacked so this wont happen again.) I own a new forum: communitytalk.5.forumer.com that will soon be opening along with a website. I've owned websites in the past with a few actually having over 200 visitors a day. I also have used blogs to advertise and promote certain websites and information to people. Please don't under estimate me because of my age, I can code and design web templates, Create Graphics with photoshop, make javascripts. The past few months of I been working with some very experienced flash developers, developing the famous online flash game Dinky Bomb. I'm currently expanding my knowledge of Flash and Ajax. With in this year i hope to start developing my own online flash based game. I may only be 16 but can read and wright codes just as good as I can read and wright english. When it comes to developing a forum I already have plans to make a graphic forum. A place for tutorials, graphic battles, request and a generals forum for them to enjoy them selfs. I already have a co- administrator that is going to do this with me, only reason we have not started is because of lack of funds. The domain name we will be using is currently available to register, If you wish to know the name PM ME as I know that it will get registered in a heart beat if posted publicly. When it comes to seo, I have a lot of experience. When I had my websites I watched my ranking and also used good keywords and other techniques I have learn over the years to be successful in my niche. Now onto the advertising, I would automatically start off by buying traffic to get things rolling, Next I would upload a bunch of videos to youtube advertising my website. (I already have a few 120,000+ view videos with over 150 comments) This will bring in a lot of traffic also, trust me. After that I would submit my url to 1000 directories with a automatic program I own. After that I would buy a few e-mail blast and yahoo+google group promotions. Once this is done the domain should get a good number of Unique visitors per day. I got a few more techniques I would use but not going to post them all here. I know that I would be able to make this forum successful because of all my last projects. I will also be able to design and code a nice custom vb theme that will help get visitors to register because of a unique layout. I have pretty much posted above on why I think my forum will do fine in the traffic and seo section, and over all be a nice active community and not just a dead un-unique forum. I have made a lot of sites and conducted a lot of business. All of the sites I used to own have been sold, All name a few below. lhora .com (Arcade) dzb .in (Forum) checkpageranks .net (seo tool) pagerankdirect .com (seo tool) urlplanet .net (Image Uploads) hiphopmusic .in (Music Blog) blocked .in (Proxy) unblocked .in (Proxy) I made a lot more proxy's and also a few adult video websites, witch I'm not going to post a url because it against forumers tos. The only blogging experience I have is when I was working with my hip hop music video blog, It was a great turn out and I also learned a lot about how WordPress works and functions. The mods that I would have installed on my forum would be, Arcade Reputation System Image Gallery Donation System possibly a few other I would have to take a look at. I Think this would be a great opportunity for me, I would definitely put forth the time and effort it will take to archive my goals. ~Thank you for reading my post.
